«Letters of the Wandering Poet» — the title of one of Basho's poetic travel diaries. In the original, it is called «Oi-no Koubumi», meaning letters from oi — a small bag that Buddhist monks carried around their necks. In addition to the poems from this diary, the book includes haiku, renku, and poems from the travel diary «Bones Whitening in the Field».
