Malabar Widows

Pervin Mistri has just joined her father’s law firm, becoming one of the first female lawyers in India. The Mistri law firm must carry out the wishes of Mr. Omar Farid, a wealthy entrepreneur who has left behind three widows. While reviewing the documents, Pervin notices something strange: all three wives have bequeathed their inheritance to charity. Moreover, one of the widows signed the documents with an 'X', indicating that she probably cannot even read. Pervin conducts an investigation and realizes her suspicions were correct: the inheritance case suddenly turns into a murder case.
