Databases: Textbook

Databases are one of the areas of the IT industry, traditionally addressing technologies for reliable storage of large volumes of information, as well as its efficient search and retrieval based on consumer requests. A database is regarded as an informational model of the subject area, and its development is viewed as a multi-stage process of sequentially transforming the conceptual model into a logical (relational) data model during the design stage, followed by the software implementation of the logical model using SQL language tools and tuning the parameters of the physical model in the process of database operation.
