Machines Like Me

Britain lost the Falklands War, and Alan Turing made a breakthrough in artificial intelligence. This world is different from ours, and even love lives by different laws in it. In an alternative London of the 1980s, a lost loser named Charlie falls in love with Miranda – a girl with a great secret in her past. When Charlie suddenly comes into some money, the first thing he does is buy Adam – one of the first androids. Together with Miranda, they create a personality for Adam. The new being is almost a perfect human. And soon the trio forms a love triangle.
