Anatomical Atlas

The author of the unique edition "Anatomical Atlas for Students and Doctors" is the esteemed professor of anatomy at the University of Vienna, Karl Toldt. He believed that his work, first published a hundred years ago, is extremely important and absolutely necessary for those who study medicine or are professionally engaged in it. The task faced by the author was not an easy one: to convey the anatomical features of the human body, to present the relationship of the organs that are "involved in the structure of the whole." Hence, he saw the necessity for "clarity of drawings and their clear arrangement." The author was assisted by his colleagues, practicing specialists in the field of anatomy. They conducted a complex and meticulous work. The "illustrations," if one can speak thus about the organs of the human body, are "accurate and original," as he himself described them. All drawings are accompanied by texts that reveal the "essence of each organ" and its connection with others. The work was published in three volumes. We have combined them into one edition, preserving everything that makes this atlas remarkable.
