Viola Tarakanova never passes by someone else's misfortune. And now she decided to help a completely unrelated woman. In the restaurant where Vilka was having dinner with her husband Stepan, a stranger approached them, dropped to her knees, and asked... for help. But Nelly, the wife of the restaurant owner Vadim, kicked her out. She said it was Valya Yurkin — Vadim's first wife; supposedly, she had poisoned his mother and sister-in-law with a cake laced with poison. And now she had returned from prison and was coming to them. Yurkin turned out to be persistent: she ambushed Vilka and Stepan in the entrance of their building, begging her to listen. She claimed she had been slandered, that she hadn't killed anyone… The detectives started to clarify the details of the old story. Not all the parties involved in the case could be described as innocent. And when step by step the investigators stumbled upon a whole series of suspicious deaths, Viola was momentarily at a loss.
