Rubaiyat

Omar Khayyam 1048–1131, a great Persian poet, philosopher, and scientist — an undisputed classic of world lyricism. Throughout his life, he wrote poetic aphorisms, rubaiyat, in which he reflected profound thoughts on love and hatred, good and evil, fate and destiny. The famous Rubaiyat, prompting reflection on life and laughter at the helplessness of man in the struggle with himself, remain relevant to this day. The edition is organically complemented by illustrations by Ronald Balfour.
