Delusions

Delusions, according to the classification proposed by the venerable Tinki Ayokhti, come in eighteen degrees of certainty. Delusions of the first degree of certainty are familiar to all - the face of a deceased friend, glimpsed at the end of... the street, a shadow in the shape of a fantastic chimera - it appeared for a moment and then vanished. With a delusion of the eighteenth degree of certainty, one can live side by side for a lifetime and never suspect its inhuman nature. But this book does not mention the classification of delusions even once. Instead, it tells much about the delusions themselves - ancient monsters from distant seas, boxes that grant eternal bliss, and enchanted cities that sometimes appear in the desert before weary travelers.
