Beware of Chens

Maddi Chen has attended countless weddings, but she could hardly imagine how her own would turn out. To ensure that her mother and aunts enjoy the celebration as much as the other guests, they find the perfect compromise – a Chinese-Indonesian family wedding planning company just like theirs. At first, Maddi has doubts about the choice, but she quickly finds common ground with the wedding photographer, Stephanie, who reminds Maddi of herself, right down to her awkwardly mangled name. However, later, when Maddi witnesses a suspicious conversation, she realizes that their resemblance ends there. In horror, she cannot believe that Stephanie and her family are not who they appear to be.
