The Kreutzer Sonata

The global and domestic classic, Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy was already called the head of Russian literature during his lifetime and was nominated for the Nobel Prize four times.

What are great writers like? It turns out they are very much like us. Leo Nikolayevich, for example, suffered from depression, which is considered a modern ailment, and he treated himself with kumys in a yurt near Samara…

He also pondered difficult questions. To listen to one's heart—or reason? To follow society or one's own dream?

How to fight one's vices: ambition, selfishness, and lust? Such are his heroes. Loving and unloved. Loyal and betraying. Searching and having lost everything.

Beginning their path and already having crossed that line where forgiveness or asking for forgiveness was no longer possible.

The book includes stories and tales like The Kreutzer Sonata, The Devil, Father Sergius, etc., the play The Living Corpse, and The Confession of Leo Tolstoy.
