Latvian - Russian Teaching Dictionary

This is the first Latvian - Russian dictionary in which the word sections are supplemented not only with various examples but also with illustrations explaining the meanings of words, and it includes colorful thematic picture inserts. The dictionary is intended mainly for those who are learning the Latvian language, as well as for those who wish to improve their knowledge of Latvian and expand their vocabulary. The dictionary is also useful for Latvian language users who are learning Russian.
The dictionary contains more than 16,000 basic words that are widely used in the learning process, in everyday life, as well as found in the press; several hundred illustrations; an index of names of peoples and ethnic groups; a comprehensive grammar appendix and a Russian-Latvian word index.
