Exiles of the Earth

1884, East Africa. French astronomer Norber Moony arrives in Sudan with a secret mission. His path leads to a remote mountainous area on the edge of the Bayuda Desert through the lands of the Mahdists, who are rising against the... colonial power of Europeans on the continent. The latest volume of the «Masters of Adventure» series features one of the most famous books by André Laurie, «Exiles of the Earth». This adventurous science-fiction duology (often published as one large novel) was written as a kind of homage in response to Jules Verne's «Moon Trilogy&, his friend and mentor André Laurie. Interestingly, a year after the release of «Exiles», Jules Verne decided to return to the heroes of his «lunar» epic and wrote a new, but now «terrestrial» novel about them.
