The End of the Parade. To Each His Own.

The first of the novels in the famous cycle 'The End of the Parade' is considered one of the most important books about the First World War and the tragic fates of the 'lost generation' in Great Britain. The torturous marriage of the impeccable gentleman Christopher Tietjens and the social beauty Sylvia is on the verge of disaster when he meets the young suffragette Valentine. Barely beginning, the love story at first sight is interrupted by Christopher's departure to the Western Front. In 2012, a series was filmed based on the novel, with Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role. It is being published in Russian for the first time.
