Konstantin Paustovsky is an outstanding Russian writer whose novels, stories, essays, and sketches are rightly considered classics of domestic literature of the 20th century and have been repeatedly translated into many languages of the world. For Soviet readers, Paustovsky embodies... human and literary nobility, the conscience of the era. He was nominated multiple times for the Nobel Prize in Literature and only did not receive this honorable award for political reasons. Paustovsky worked on "Tale of Life" for 18 years: before us unfolds the life of the writer - from childhood to the time when he realizes his literary success.
