Alla Gorbunova was born in 1985 in Leningrad. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University. Poet, author of several prose books — The End of the World, My Love, Another Matter, Summer. Her poems and... prose have been translated into many foreign languages. Laureate of the N.O.S., Debut, and Andrei Bely Prize. Things and Ushi was my first book of prose. I hope it has drive and compassion. At first, I intended to call it Tales for the Crazy, then — To Ashes, and the third option became the final one — Things and Ushi. But Tales for the Crazy is undoubtedly an important aspect and designation of the target audience, and To Ashes comes from my story about a person who wore black glasses in winter because he didn't want to see the world to ashes — to look at it and burn it with the act of his own vision. So, I have told you about these two secret layers, two secret titles of Things and Ushi, and what things and what ushi are — you figure it out yourselves. Alla Gorbunova
