Grand Hotel "Europe"

Having parted with his beloved woman, writer Ilya Leonard Pfeiffer arrives at the legendary Grand Hotel "Europe", which has always given guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the old continent. He wants to recreate a novel... about lost love. But something goes wrong. The new owner of the hotel — an enterprising Chinese man — is changing the "Europe" right before his eyes.
The writer looks with disgust at the crowds of tourists surrounding him. Unceremonious and short-sighted, they roam kilometers on trendy routes for the next selfie, completely ignorant of art and history.
Pfeiffer's beloved Cleo is the complete opposite of him. An art historian who has devoted many years to the work of Caravaggio, she is smart, temperamental, and desirable. Just recently, they devised a challenging "game" and set off in search of the artist's last painting. But, unfortunately, their relationship ended, and now they are separated by thousands of kilometers.
Now Europe lives in the past. Pfeiffer sarcastically notes the constant changes in it, refusing to recognize that he himself is not far removed from its typical representatives, and cautiously reflecting on the future.
