This book is the story of one building – a «dollhouse». Here lived: Sylvia Plath, Joan Didion, Rita Hayworth, Molly Brown, Grace Kelly, Liza Minnelli, and many other wonderful singers, writers, artists, actresses, editors, and models. But before becoming famous, they all, very young, arrived at the «Barbizon» hotel with a suitcase, letters of recommendation, and hopes.
