The Book of Two Paths

The roads we choose… Don, a former graduate student in Egyptology and now a death doula who helps her clients come to terms with the inevitability of transitioning to the other world, finds herself in Egypt, where fifteen years ago... she worked on the excavation of ancient tombs and met her first love. And just like in «The Book of Two Paths», the ancient Egyptian map of the afterlife, two paths open up before Don. She must decide what is more important to her: a comfortable existence with a caring husband or the completely uncertain return to the past, to her beloved work and the abandoned lover she could never forget. As the plot unfolds, long-buried secrets resurface and new questions arise. What is a well-lived life? What do we leave behind when we leave this earth? Do we make choices... or does fate choose for us?
