This publication includes the main collection of lyrical works by the greatest Russian poet, Nobel Prize winner Boris Leonidovich Pasternak (1890–1960): nine poetry books, including poems from the novel "Doctor Zhivago," as well as the autobiographical essay "People and Situations." According to Dmitry Likhachev, the inspiring power of Pasternak's poetry makes one think and feel. And no matter how difficult the poet's path was - from the "high dullness" of the early "fervent" verses to the "stunning simplicity" of the late lyrics - he has been and remains beloved and significant for many generations of readers, like a pure sound in the deafening noise of the epoch. As Tsvetaeva wrote, Pasternak will never have a "square," but there will be "a multitude of lonely, a lonely multitude of thirsty people whom he, a secluded spring, nourishes."
