The Tale of the Red-Haired Girl

The Tale of the Red-Haired Girl is based on the true story of the writer Lydia Budogoskaya's life. Perhaps that is why the heroine Eva Kün seems so close and relatable to modern readers. Eva lives in a small town... in a house where no one wants to live. The girl’s mother was the first to leave, followed by her grandmother. Eva remains with her despotic and cruel father.
