One day, mountains of snow, and a bit of blood. Fitz's parents have just divorced, and all she wants is to disappear. A mishap occurs with her younger sister, and Fitz manages to steal a cast from the hospital, meet... the mysterious Adam, and make friends with Primula. While Fitz is figuring out how to help a lovesick nurse… she accidentally falls in love herself. Today, Anna Woltz's books have been translated into 16 languages. The novel "Gypsum" has received two prestigious awards in the Netherlands: the Golden and Silver pencil. In 2018, a miniseries was made based on the book.
"Gypsum" is the real cast that Fitz steals to pretend that she broke her arm, where she buries her parents' wedding rings. Fitz says that her whole family should be in casts because they are all broken from her parents' divorce. Gypsum is a story about how to mend what's broken and that some things cannot be restored.
