During illegal excavations, the "black archaeologist" Ilya comes into possession of a ring, bracelet, and dagger belonging to the founder of the Hashshashin assassin sect, Hasan as-Sabah. The treasure hunter attempts to sell the find, but it attracts the interest... of modern Ismailis and members of European knightly orders that have turned into powerful secret societies. Being at the center of the clash between the political powers of the West and the East is very dangerous and unpleasant.
