In Search of Shara Wheeler

Chloe Green is closer than ever to victory. After moving to Alabama, she spent four long years avoiding gossip, classmates, and the administration of Willowgrove Academy. Just a little more — and the title of the top student in the school will be in her pocket. Her only rival is Shara Wheeler, the principal's daughter, perfect in literally every way.

But a month before graduation, Shara kisses Chloe and disappears.

In search of answers, Chloe discovers that she was not the only one Shara had been in contact with before she vanished. There is also Smith, Shara's boyfriend, and Rory, the guy next door who liked her. The three of them have nothing in common except for mysterious notes.

Together, they must find Shara, because how else will Chloe defeat her in a fair fight?

The unusual trio embarks on a chase for a ghost through parties, break-ins, and puzzles. Over time, Chloe begins to suspect that there are many more strange things happening in this small town than she thought. And possibly — just possibly — Shara was much more complex too.
