Jewish Tales

The collection by Austrian writer Leopold von Sacher-Masoch includes stories about the life of Jewish communities and settlements in Russia and Poland, Italy and Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as other countries in Europe. Each story also narrates some Jewish custom or religious holiday. The illustrations for the stories and tales in the collection are made by French artists sharing the same surname: Émile Lévi, Alphonse Lévi, and Henri Lévi, as well as Polish-French artist and illustrator Edward Louis.
