The Second Son

The cold sea cast the orphaned Gisla onto the grim shores of Sailok. She was doomed to perish if not for the mysterious inhabitant of a coastal cave who found her. Her rescuer was a blind boy named Höðr, who inherited the name of the god. Thus, they became bound not only by fate but also by the magic of runes. When Gisla sings, Höðr can see. Neither time nor distance can separate them, even when Gisla is forced to become the temple's daughter and submit to a ruthless king, while Höðr's fate is predetermined by an ancient prophecy. Amidst wars and intrigues, Gisla and Höðr fight against the whole world. What sacrifices will they have to make to defeat the forces ready to destroy the bond between their souls.
