The story "My Mumiyo" is the first literary work in the post-Soviet space that tells about the legendary natural balm called the tears of the mountains. For three thousand years, folk healers of the East have used it in treatment...
and consider it a panacea for many ailments. Great doctors of the Middle Ages - Avicenna, Biruni, Ulugh Beg - dedicated many treatises to mumiyo and developed recipes for medicinal preparations, yet there is still no unified view on the origin of this unique substance, and modern medicine and pharmacology do not approve its use.
The author has been involved with mumiyo for over forty years, starting from amateur expeditions to the mountains to working with scientific and medical organizations of the country and enterprises that consumed tons of the product as one of the components of cosmetic creams. He gathered knowledge, experience, and took a long time to achieve his main goal - introducing mumiyo into the pharmacy network as a full-fledged medicinal product. He was only one step away from the approval of the pharmacopoeial article, but the collapse of the Great Country prevented it.
Vladimir Shokodko dedicated a separate chapter to the theories of the genesis of mumiyo and his own view on how it forms in nature.
