Prayers for Peace and Calm

We really need peace. We need peace, calm, and love. Yet, we tremble with fear. We fear we won't live to see tomorrow — but we are horrified at the mere thought of what it may bring us. We are boiling with anger. We are angry with our neighbors. We hate both others and ourselves. We fight for peace, but there is less and less peace, and more and more fighting, and we are getting closer to losing our minds. And there comes a moment when we understand: the only thing left for us is prayer directed to God. A prayer for the salvation of the soul. A prayer for the gift of peace. For peace in the heart. For peace in the country. For peace in the whole world.
