Much stronger than the pain from a shard stuck in his head, Mark Lucas suffers from the emotional turmoil caused by a car accident for which he is to blame, as it resulted in the death of his wife and unborn child. Mark finds hope in returning to life when he learns about a psychiatric experiment that could free him from his unbearable, tormenting memories. But after his first visit to the clinic, something disturbingly strange happens to him. The contact list in his phone turns out to be empty. Mark's apartment key no longer fits the lock. A stranger's name is on the plaque. And when he calls, the door opens from the inside, plunging Mark into his most terrifying nightmare…
