Once a modest and curious Mole left his old burrow and settled in a blooming valley by a big river. Here his friends became the good-natured Water Rat, the carefree millionaire Mr. Toad, and Badger — the stern hermit from the Wild Wood. Thus, a new life began for the Mole, sometimes peaceful and calm, and at other times — full of dangers and adventures.
