Meet Kavitri: a pariah, an outsider, and a survivor

Kavi – the temu. Her people, once a fearsome warrior force that struck terror across the continent, are now the dregs of society. Their spirit is broken. Their swords are dull. Their history is erased.
But Kavi has a dream and a plan. She is ready to do anything to earn a place in the military academy for battle mages and their bodyguards, to meet a djinn within its walls, and to gain the power that will allow her to rise above her station and lift her people from the darkness.
However, power and knowledge come with a price. The world no longer needs temu who can fight. They are determined to break her. To bring her to her knees. To make her bleed.
But if they want blood, Kavi will give them blood. She will answer them with violence. She will show the fury of a berserker.
And they will remember her name.
