A world reminiscent of 17th century Japan. For several years, the Blessed Island has been drowning in blood: after the death of the last shogun, the provinces are plunged into fierce conflicts, the deities remain deaf to prayers, and youkai,... disregarding previous agreements, kidnap and fool people. Perhaps something similar happened to Ayashike: he remembers nothing except the last ten years. However, he is little concerned about this: inconvenient questions are well dealt with by sake, baths, and entertainment in tea houses. But one day, a band of noble robbers kidnaps Ayashike and demands that he remember the past, which holds the key to peace on the Island. And now, to save his own skin, Ayashike will have to face ruthless samurai, terrifying ghosts, and the man he once was.
