“Classical Astrology” is intended for those wishing to study astrology independently, as well as practitioners and astrologers engaged in research work.
The books are compiled, firstly, from lectures that the author attended at the Berlin Bio-Radiological Institute (formerly classified No. 25) as a student since its opening in 1933; secondly, from lectures that he delivered there for first-year students in the 1936/37 academic year; and thirdly, from information obtained in the post-war years from numerous authors from different countries - Germany, France, England, the USA, etc. In terms of volume and content, the books correspond to a full university course designed for 4-5 years of study.
Volume 1 is dedicated to the fundamentals of astrology and also contains a brief historical overview, a glossary of astrological terms, and detailed reference tables.
Volume 2 is dedicated to the signs of the Zodiac: a general description and specifics of each sign, interpretation of decans, five-degree ranges, and individual degrees are provided. The influence of fixed stars at degrees is illustrated with historical examples.
The second chapter considers the specificity of the first, fifteenth, and thirtieth degrees of each sign.
Volume 3 is dedicated to the houses of the horoscope: it thoroughly discusses types of house divisions and their meanings, the influence of Zodiac signs, positions, and aspects of the rulers.
Separate pages are devoted to the Ascendant and Meridian, with detailed chapters on health and circumstances of death, career choice, and social status. At the end of the book, calculations of planetary strengths and weaknesses in points, observations on the indicators of professions, and personality traits are provided.
The fourth volume of "Classical Astrology" is dedicated to the luminaries of the horoscope - the Sun and the Moon. Their characteristics in Zodiac signs and houses are considered, and for the Moon, a characterization of lunar days is also provided. Separate pages are devoted to the author's closely related topic of the Moon's connections with various diseases. A special chapter is allocated to solar and lunar eclipses. The appendices contain characteristics of seven cosmo-biological periods, favorable and unfavorable days for various types of activities according to the Moon, as well as author's tables.
The fifth volume of "Classical Astrology" is dedicated to personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) and Jupiter. A general description, specifics, and description of the planet in signs and houses - both in direct and retrograde motion - are provided for each planet.
The sixth volume of "Classical Astrology" is dedicated to Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. A general description, specifics, and description of the planet in signs and houses - both in direct and retrograde motion - are provided for each planet.
The seventh volume of "Classical Astrology" concludes the theme of planetology and is dedicated to Pluto, Chiron, Proserpina, Lunar Nodes, Lilith, and Lulu. In the chapter “Important cosmic factors determining the properties and potential of planets in the horoscope,” the author presents the methodology of Morin de Villefranche.
Appendices 1-4 are dedicated to the planets-Doriфория and Aurogs, Singletons, and separating and closing planets.
This volume is supplemented with Appendix 5, which provides an assessment of the main personality characteristics in points: temperament, constitution, dynamism of personality, functional symmetry, and activity/passivity.
The eighth volume of "Classical Astrology" is dedicated to the characteristics of the main types of aspects, their classification, and detailed analysis of aspects of the Sun, Moon, and Mercury.
The ninth volume of "Classical Astrology" is dedicated to the characteristics of aspects of Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
The tenth volume of "Classical Astrology" opens the topic of transits - a method that takes into account the actual movement of planets. The natal chart acts as a kind of matrix that is imprinted on a person at the moment of birth. The planets continue their movement, periodically forming various configurations with the radix, on the basis of which predictions are made. Volume 10 discusses the theory of transits, as well as the transits of the Sun and Moon.
The eleventh volume of "Classical Astrology" continues the topic of transits of personal planets. It discusses the transits of Mercury and Venus - the general properties of the planets, the characteristics of the direct and retrograde phases, transits through Zodiac signs, and detailed characteristics of transit aspects of both planets with other planets considering their positions in the houses of the horoscope.
The twelfth volume of "Classical Astrology" concludes the theme of transits. It discusses the transits of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn - the general properties of the planets, the characteristics of the direct and retrograde phases, transits through Zodiac signs, and detailed characteristics of transit aspects of the planets with other planets considering their positions in the houses of the horoscope.
The volume is supplemented with Appendices from the archive of S.A. Vronsky in Riga, describing the planets as emitters and a detailed interpretation of the transits of Uranus.
