1972. The USSR and the USA are preparing to sign a treaty on the limitation of strategic weapons. For this purpose, President Nixon arrives in Moscow for an official visit. The Soviet special services receive a signal that the night before the meeting, a tape with a fabricated recording of a conversation in the Soviet 'high command' about the alleged continuation of unilateral nuclear weapons tests by the Soviet Union will be secretly transmitted to the American side. After that, the planned meeting of the top leaders loses its meaning. The 'Don' special forces group led by Vyacheslav Bogdanov is tasked with preventing the provocation. The operatives track down one of the executors. But he tragically dies, managing to convey unknown details that fundamentally change the original plan of the special forces…
