Mystical rebirth, body swapping, the search for a criminal through psychology – under the cover of this gripping thriller, there brews a potent mix in the spirit of popular dramas "Monster" and "Those Who Read Hearts."
They clashed on the pier by the lighthouse during a raging storm. One – a brilliant profiler, the best in the Korean police, the other – an elusive serial killer known as The Reaper. That night, both perished. But only to be reborn.
The profiler finds himself in the body of the killer, avenging the death of his sister, while The Reaper takes on the role of a tough cop, the head of the homicide department. On the side of the criminal is the full might of the police and the media, and he opens the hunt for the helpless, fleeing opponent. But the former profiler has an ace up his sleeve.
And both know: the one who finds their enemy first will win.
This atmospheric thriller keeps tension from the very first pages and doesn't let go until the very end. The novel will appeal to a teenage and young adult audience, fans of contemporary Asian literature, police detectives and forensics, as well as Korean dramas.
