F. M. Dostoevsky (1821-1881) loved and highly valued humor and was an excellent master of it. Laughter sounds in many of his works. This laughter is various, sometimes — malicious, biting, hurtful, but more often — kind and bright. The writer virtuously empathized with worthy people through laughter and destroyed unworthy people. This collection is a confirmation of that.
