A series of murders has shocked the small town of Sukhodolsk. First, an entire farming family was killed in one night – a mother, father, and two underage children. Three days later, the head of the rural administration was murdered, followed by the former head of the regional police. The first theory of Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Lev Gurov – a conflict between local drug dealers – turned out to be unfounded. All the victims were killed with the same pistol. But what else, aside from the murder weapon, could connect such different victims by their status? Soon Gurov realizes that he seems to have found the answer to this treacherous question…
