Mitch Albom (b. 1958) is a renowned American writer, journalist, screenwriter, playwright, radio and television host, and musician, whose books have sold over 40 million copies worldwide. Albom gained the most fame for his nonfiction book "Tuesdays with Morrie" (1997)... and his debut novel "Five People You Meet in Heaven" (2003) — both of which remained on the New York Times bestseller list for a long time, were adapted into films, and translated into many languages. The sequel to the latter book is the novel "The One Who Waits for You in Heaven" (2018). Fifteen years later, the author tells the story of the continued fate of little Annie, whom the main character of the previous novel, an elderly amusement park caretaker named Eddie, once saved from death at the cost of his own life. Like him, she finds herself beyond the final threshold due to an accident, travels through the heavens, meeting the souls of various people she once knew, and gaining the ability to see her past in a new light. And at the end of the narrative, Annie's otherworldly journey culminates in a quite unexpected twist…
