Imogen and Thierry meet at a party in a Paris hotel. They have a short but passionate affair. Soon they part ways. Imogen travels across Europe, trying to distract herself after the tragedy that befell her at home in Sydney. Thierry is busy saving his family's business from collapse. But fate brings them together again. Imogen returns to Paris to inform Thierry that she is expecting his child and that she is terminally ill.
