The owner of the pastry shop, Kate Spencer, is struggling with the death of her brother Andrew in Afghanistan. One day, Doctor McKenna, a friend and comrade of Andrew, enters her shop. He is supposed to deliver her brother's last message. An attraction develops between the young people, complicating the fulfillment of the request.
