The journey to Paris and back passes through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and everywhere Russian tourists find themselves in adventures and entangled in troubles. After all, how could it be otherwise if the couple does not know foreign languages and does not understand local traditions and customs?
First published in 1890, the satirical novella "Our Abroad" immediately won the deserved love of contemporaries and is still being published today.
