For millions of readers around the world, Denmark is Shakespeare's Hamlet... and Andersen's fairy tales. But the great Hans Christian was not the only storyteller from the distant northern kingdom: there are many other amazing stories that remained unknown to Russian readers for many years.

Our anthology of Danish fairy tales includes both rare works of Hans Christian Andersen and magical stories by Helena Augusta Nyblom, as well as eleven folk tales processed by Sven Hersleb Grundtvig, which are published FOR THE FIRST TIME since 1878.
