Безумная ночь

The early orphaned daughter of an English officer and a noble Portuguese woman, Frederica de Aville, raised in her father's relatives, was unaware of how meager her chances were for a decent marriage. In desperation, Freddy decides to take a dangerous risk — to seduce the frivolous rake Bentley Rathledge and at least once find out what passion is.

But the secret instantly becomes apparent. The scandal cannot be stopped. The only thing that can save Freddy is an immediate lawful marriage to her ruinous lover...
