A blizzard is raging, covering the streets with silvery snow and driving people into warm homes. On the eve of the bright holiday of Christmas, people wish to warm not only their bodies but also their souls by giving love and care to their neighbors. On this night, everyone finds something special and magical. New acquaintances, new feelings, new goals… Anton Pavlovich Chekhov gave us many works inspired by Christmas, for it is a time when a person is truly ready to change for the better. However, people are complex beings, and their paths are winding, and sometimes even the noblest impulses yield no results. But there is always hope for a bright future, for every year a bright star of Christmas twinkles in the sky for us. The collection includes the stories: "On Christmas Night", "The Christmas Tree", "Artistry", "A Joke", "On the Way", "New Year's Torment", "Frost", "The Cobbler and the Evil Force", "It Was Her!", "The Bet"…
