Babylon — the prestigious Royal Institute of Translation at Oxford University — is a global center not only for translations but also for magic. It is here that silver ingots are enchanted, allowing the lost meanings in translation to be uncovered. Such unique power endowed the British Empire with unprecedented authority, and exploring Babylon in the field of translation and foreign languages allowed it to develop an extensive foreign policy. Robin Swift spent many years studying languages to gain admission to the Royal Institute. His studies at Oxford are a utopia filled with knowledge. However, after becoming acquainted with the secret society “Hermes” and understanding the power these knowledge bring, Robin concludes that serving Babylon means serving the Empire. Now he faces a choice… But can powerful institutions be changed from within without violence, or does revolution always demand sacrifice?
