Stella Montgomery and the Secrets of the Underground City

Stella Montgomery has been sent to Wakestone Hall, a boarding school for girls! Aunts are convinced that there Stella will learn humility and diligence, as they themselves studied at Wakestone Hall many years ago. The place is dreadful: strict punishments for breaking absurd rules, bad food, damp beds, and very cold rooms… However, it is here that Stella found her true friends – Ottilie and Agapanthus! Together they set out to find out why many classmates behave like wind-up dolls: dutifully following everything the teachers command, and seemingly on cue, going to lunch or to bed… All clues lead to the fearsome and awe-inspiring headmistress Miss Garnet. But the investigation takes a completely different turn when Ottilie suddenly disappears, and Stella and Agapanthus find a note pleading for help. Well, the girls need to gather their courage and set off in search of their friend!
