German Magic Tales

The collection includes twenty-six German fairy tales retold by various authors: the Brothers Grimm, Ludwig Bechstein, Johann Peter Hebel, Clemens Brentano, Richard von Folkman-Leander, Wilhelm Hauff, and Giambattista Basile. The plots of many of them are familiar to Russian readers, while other tales are less known. All the tales in the collection are illustrated with magnificent color drawings by the renowned master of book illustration — the German artist Alexander Zick.
