The Will of a Madman

The novel by the master of adventure prose Jules Verne «The Will of a Madman» is little known to the Russian reader, but it is hardly inferior in excitement to the most famous works of the author. The action takes place in the United States at the end of the 19th century. The eccentric millionaire William Gipperbon bequeathed all his fortune to one of the citizens, chosen by lot, — on the condition that the contenders embark on a journey across the country to play an unusual card game.
