In 2017, Masons around the world solemnly celebrated three centuries of history of their brotherhood. In all countries where there are Masonic lodges, grand celebrations took place, but the best gift that any Freemason or anyone interested in this complex... and multifaceted spiritual and philosophical phenomenon could give themselves is to look back at the ancient history of the order to understand the reasons that allowed masonry to survive to this day, never knowing stagnation or peace. And having looked back, to try to imagine the future of this order, which could have become a true non-man-made temple of all humanity, but for now only comforts itself with the hope that it has prepared the ground for its construction. The second edition of the book has been revised and significantly supplemented in the chapters relating to the history and contemporary state of the Masonic brotherhood in Russia and the world.
