In E. Uspensky's book "Holidays in the Village of Prostokvashino", there are funny stories about how the residents of Prostokvashino celebrate holidays (for example, preparing for birthdays and coming up with gifts) and how ordinary tasks (painting roofs, mushroom picking, or flooding) turn into exciting adventures. The famous characters — Uncle Fyodor, the cat Matroskin, the dog Sharik, and the postman Pechkin — always find the positive sides and things to laugh about in any incident. And we have much to learn from these wonderful heroes!
