The manual is a component of the set "Once - step, twice - step..." for children aged 5-6 and 6-7 years. The set also includes a program and methodological recommendations that describe the system of work aimed at forming mathematical representations in preschoolers, developing thinking, creative abilities, and interest in mathematics. The set "Once - step, twice - step..." can be used in the preschool education system as the initial link of a continuous mathematics course "Learning to Learn" (L. G. Peterson, G. V. Dorofeev, N. X. Agaghanov, et al.) for grades 1-9, as well as for individual work of parents with children. The authors recommend using poems about numbers created by S. Marshak, G. Vieru, V. Bakaldin, F. Daglarjey, and others while working with the manual.
